The University of Miami Health System Division of Nephrology at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine is seeking a full-time faculty at open rank (Assistant, Associate or Full Professor). We seek individuals with demonstrated excellence in clinical care, teaching, and research in nephrology.

Responsibilities include:

  • * Providing comprehensive care for nephrology patients in outpatient clinics and dialysis units
  • * Participating in inpatient consult with services in the continuity clinics across multiple hospitals, including Jackson Memorial Hospital and University of Miami Hospital
  • * Weekend, evening, and holiday on-call coverage proportionate to other faculty
  • * Active involvement in educational programs, including teaching fellows, residents, and medical students in clinics, inpatient settings, dialysis units and conferences
  • * Engagement in scholarly activities and contributions to the academic mission of the division

Qualifications:

  • * MD Degree with completion of an ACGME-accredited Internal Medicine Internship and Residency
  • * Completed a 2-year ACGME-accredited Nephrology Fellowship
  • * ABMS Board Certification or eligibility in Internal Medicine and Nephrology
  • * Valid unrestricted Florida Medical License or eligible to apply (must have license prior to credentialing)
  • * Valid DEA licensure
  • * Current ACLS and BLS certification required
  • * Commitment to excellence in patient care, education and academic service
